Great news! Kier's asparagus is well on the way now. It started late but I'm sure you will forgive him. The weather has not been ideal but I'm hoping it will extend the season to the end of June. His web site is here. We will also be selling it by the bunch in the restaurant for you to take home.
We have won the Best of Hereford Business award for best family business, you can see the results here.
I have been invited to cook for the Heart of England Fine Foods 10th Anniversary Diamond Food awards dinner. Ten chef's from the whole of the midlands have been asked to be part of the team headed by Andreas from the michelin starred Simpsons' restaurant in Birmingham. The dinner will be held at the Ricoh stadium in Coventry. Its a really big honor and Im thrilled and flattered to be asked to take part. Tickets and more information here. Our new wine list goes live from mid April and there will be bargains to be had from our old list as well as some exiting new vintages from around the world.
This months big surprise was a visit from a Michelin inspector, the elusive and much respected guide will be returning but we will have to wait until January to what happens.
Welcome to Robin Bakewell our new front of house manager, he has great experience and has lots of plans for the Summer and beyond. I'm sure you will all meet him soon.
